Amed is a certified wine and spirits educator in Belize and is certified in AWS First Pour, AWS Level 1 in Wines, and AWS Level 2 in Wines. As a sommelier and wine educator, he combines his passion for wine and hospitality with an extensive background in business. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, with professional experience spanning hospitality, retail, marketing, management, export development, and trade facilitation. His diverse experience gives him a unique perspective on the business and hospitality sides of the wine and spirits industry. As an educator with the Academy of Wine & Spirits, Amed enjoys sharing his knowledge with others and helping students build their confidence, deepen their understanding, and develop skills they can apply in their careers. Outside of his professional and educational pursuits, he is an avid triathlete who enjoys swimming, cycling, and running.
