Nicolas is a certified wine and spirits educator in Colombia and is certified in all AWS courses. He is also a Chemical and Mechanical Engineer and Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at Universidad de Los Andes. His extensive background in engineering and research includes work within the food and beverage industry, with a particular focus on distillation, fermentation, filtration, and quality control. This unique combination of technical expertise and beverage knowledge brings an engaging perspective to his work as an educator. Nicolas enjoys connecting with others and sharing his knowledge of wine, spirits, and hospitality. As an educator with the Academy of Wine & Spirits, he is passionate about helping students expand their knowledge, build confidence, and strengthen skills they can apply throughout their hospitality careers.
